Phosphoric Acid

Rock Phosphate

Rock phosphate is the raw material used to manufacture most commercial phosphate fertilizers on the market. In the past, ground rock phosphate itself has been used as a source of P for acid soils, and is a long-standing organic fertilizer for agriculture & gardens. It is an excellent natural source of phosphorus, calcium and many essential trace elements.

The Rock Phosphate supplied by Devdhar Chemicals contains over 30 percent total phosphate (3-8 percent available) and 48 percent calcium (as CaO). Phosphate rock has approximately one-fifth the neutralizing power of lime.

In India, Rock Phosphate is found in Rajasthan [Majorly in Udaipur & Jaipur District], but the quality of this material is not suitable for large scale operations.

At Devdhar Chemicals, we offer best quality of Rock Phosphate Imported from Morocco, Jordan, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Egypt & Vietnam. Typical Analysis of product offered by us is as below,

Nutrient Percent

BPL [Bone Phosphate of Lime], As Ca3(PO4) 64.00% (Min.)
Calcium Oxide, as (CaO) 48.00% (Min.)
Iron Oxide, as (Fe2O3) 0.10% (Min.)
Aluminum Oxide, as (Al2O3) 0.10% (Min.)
Magnesium Oxide (MgO)  0.50% (Min.)

Rock phosphate, supplied by DEVDHAR CHEMICALS, can mineralize the soil and improve the quality of crops and soil structure. However, its principal uses are to build phosphate fertility where levels are low and/or to increase rooting activity in transplants and sprouting seeds, and hence is known for keeping plants healthy and encouraging new growth. It does this by adding phosphorus, thereby helping them to make other plant nutrients more accessible.

Our rock phosphate contains about 30 to 32 % of P205 as well as a percentage of lime and other trace minerals. It is a very fine material, but can be applied with all common fertilizer spreaders. soft rock phosphate is insoluble in water, will not leach away, and therefore is long-lasting Soft rock phosphate used directly under the seed or transplant at planting time is the very best method of application, especially in low acid or high alkaline soils. It is not as critical but still beneficial in slightly acid to neutral soils. It is almost impossible to overuse soft rock phosphate.
